Both India and Pakistan have agreed to a complete and immediate ceasefire. Pakistan’s Deputy PM said that it “always strives for peace and security in the region”. India’s Foreign Secretary confirmed fighting between the two countries, which began at 17:00 local time (12:30 BST). US President Donald Trump said the ceasefire is the result of “a long night of mediation by the United States”. This week, India hit a target in response to a deadly terrorist attack on Indian tourists in Pahgam last month in Kashmir administered Pakistan and Pakistan – Islamabad denied participation. Both sides accused each other of cross -border shelling and missiles and drone attacks as India started their military operations – both India and Pakistan claimed to have a full claim of Kashmir.
